Foyer carpet, Odeon Cinema, Brighton Marina
Went to the cinema this week - the Blonde had given me her free ticket to the new Sandra Bullock romcom. I love the sort of carpets you find in theatres, cinemas and amusement arcades - busily patterned so they don't show up the dirt, but zany enough to say, 'Hey, let us entertain YOU!'
There are beautiful specimens in Flickr's Movie Theater Carpet group. Here are a few more I've found:
Carpets used in cinemas are designed well so that you cannot spot the dirt and dusts that were present for days already. You have a great collection of cinema carpets, I haven't thought of it before. I could actually create a blog that focuses on cinema carpets.

Let me use this line from Brisbane's comment, "Carpets used in cinemas are designed well so that you cannot spot the dirt and dusts that were present for days already." I just knew this thing upon reading the blog. How could the management afford to put our health to risk? We are paying to watch movies in cinemas but not to buy sickness out of the dust they have collected in their carpets! Anyway, the cinema carpets are very nice. My kids would love to have this in our cinema room. They have been thinking of any thing that could make our room look more "cinematic" to them.
